Dr. Tim Skupin - Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Skupin is the lead veterinarian at Avery Ranch Animal Hospital.

He grew up in West Texas, and then migrated to North Texas State University in Denton to earn a degree in computer science. After a career as a software engineer in Dallas and Austin, he earned his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary medicine.

After working as an associate, as a reliever, and as an emergency room veterinarian, Dr. Skupin started Avery Ranch Animal Hospital in 2005. He was one of the first veterinarians in Texas to become Fear Free certified. In addition, he regularly travels to Central Asia to work with nomadic shepherds, helping them to improve their flocks.

Dr. Skupin can often be found on weekends herding sheep with his Border Collie, Tiberius.
