Dr. Nicole Winegarner was born and raised in a small town in southern Kansas.
She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2019. After graduation she completed a small animal rotating internship at Michigan State University. Upon completion of her internship Dr. Winegarner moved to Texas to be closer to her sister and her niece. For 2 years she worked as a relief veterinarian in the greater Austin area, frequenting several small animal practices, ultimately accepting Avery Ranch Animal Hospital as her home.
Dr. Winegarner currently resides in Leander, TX with her two cats, Spectra and Percival. Spectra is a sassy 13-year-old domestic short hair who is more accurately described as a miniature panther. Percival, or Percy, is a 9-year-old orange and white long-haired tabby whose only purpose in life is getting snuggles. In her spare time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, listening to or reading a good book, and spending time with her family and friends.
